Terms & Conditions
FieldCalc is a free field reference. Results are estimates to help you work faster — they are not engineering advice, and they do not replace your adopted code or a licensed professional.
Last updated: October 2026
The one rule
Estimates only. Verify every result against the code edition your authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) enforces — including local amendments — and with a licensed electrician or engineer where required.
1. The service
FieldCalc provides free browser-based calculators for conduit fill, wire size and ampacity, voltage drop, duct sizing, and beam deflection, plus reference guides and charts. No account is required, and all features are available without payment.
2. Not professional advice
Content on this site is general reference information, not professional engineering, electrical, or legal advice. Code editions vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Electrical tools reference NEC 2023, duct sizing follows ACCA Manual D, and beam checks reference IBC deflection limits — your AHJ may enforce a different edition or additional local rules. Nothing here creates a professional-client relationship.
3. No warranty
The site and calculators are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. You are responsible for checking inputs, verifying outputs, and deciding whether a result is suitable for your work.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FieldCalc is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of (or inability to use) the site — including incorrect sizing, failed inspections, rework, or job delays. If you do not accept this, do not use the calculators for real work.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the calculators for lawful purposes only.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it abusively, or misrepresent its outputs as a professional stamp or certification.
- Print/PDF reports and shareable links are yours to use on the job — keep the code references attached so others can verify.
6. Intellectual property
The site design, text, and calculator implementations belong to FieldCalc. Code requirements themselves (NEC, Manual D, IBC) belong to their respective publishers; our pages reference them as factual standards and do not reproduce the codes in full. You may link to any public page and share calculator URLs freely.
7. Third-party resources
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which is governed by Google's terms. If we link to an external standard, publisher, or tool, that destination has its own terms and we are not responsible for it.
8. Changes
Calculators and guides may be updated, corrected, or removed as codes evolve. These terms may be updated the same way; the “last updated” date above marks the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
